"Word of Life Christian Center" is a church with a God-given vision to reach its community, as well as the nations, for Christ. Since our beginning in 1987, we have seen God's love and power change many lives. To a hurting world, we have been proclaiming that Jesus Christ came "that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Through the exciting life-changing teaching ministry at Word of Life, people are being encouraged and built-up in faith. We are a church that ministers to the whole family, equipping Christians for ministry, doing our utmost to identify and to meet the needs of the local area, and to carry the gospel to the world.

Word of Life Christian Center is a part of Covenant Ministries International. CMI organization made up of many churches which provides strength, support, and encouragement to churches. Members of CMI have a covenant with God and each other to strengthen the ministry of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. To accomplish these goals, there must be accountability of both CMI to its members and its members to CMI. CMI provides this church avenues for restoration, counseling, licensing and ordination, mediation services, and training for the church staff, and the ability to take part in the world missions.

We Believe

1. The Bible is the inspired Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16)
   
2. There is only one true God. He is manifested in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Gen. 1:26)
   
3. Man was created in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression sin came into the world. (Gen. 1:26-31 & 3:1-7; Rom. 3:23 & 5:12)
   
4. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the works of the devil and give His life and blood to redeem and restore man back to God (1 John 3:8; Rom. 5:17 & 3:24-26)
   
5. Salvation is the gift of God to man, not received by human works but by faith in Jesus Christ. New birth is necessary for everyone to bring eternal life.
   
6. Water baptism by immersion is a declaration to the world that a believer has died with Christ and they have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matt 28:19; Rom. 6:4)
   
7. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift of God promised by Jesus Christ to all believers. (Luke 24:49; John 14:16,17; Acts 2:4)
   
8. Sanctification is a progressive work of grace, beginning at the time of the new birth and continuing until the consummation of salvation. (Heb. 12:14; I Thess. 5:23,24; II Peter 3:18)
   
9. Divine Healing is provision of Christ’s atonement and is the privilege of every member of the Church today. (Isa 53:4,5; Matt. 8:17; I Peter 2:24)
   
10. The Church is the Body of Christ and each member an integral part. (Eph. 4:15,16; Rom. 12:4,5)
    
11. Jesus Christ will return for His Church. When He returns, “…the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air…” (Acts 1:11; I Thess. 4:16,17; I Cor. 15:51-53)
    
12. Those who die in their sins without Christ are destined for an eternity in the Lake of Fire. (Heb. 9:27; Rev. 19:20)
    
13. The Millennial Reign of Jesus: The Lord Jesus Christ will return to earth with His saints from heaven to rule and reign for one thousand years on earth as the Scriptures promise. (Rev. 20:1-6). After this, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. (Rev. 21)

An Apostolic Church

Word of Life Christian Center is an apostolic church. To fully understand what is meant by this statement we must first look at the root word “apostle.” An apostle is a Christian leader uniquely gifted, prepared, and sent by God with authority to establish as well as oversee churches and ministries. An apostle is sent by God into assigned areas to establish and secure sound foundations in churches resulting in expanding the kingdom of God while ensuring the healthy growth and maturing of Christians.

The key point here is that an apostle is one who is sent. Jesus was sent by the Father, Jesus sent His disciples, and now the Holy Spirit has been sent into the world where He is raising up new apostles who are then sent by their local churches into the work to which they are called.

As an apostolic church Word of Life Christian Center understands and implements the concept of sending. Prepared believers are sent into ministry within the church as well as locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. Rather than just being inward looking the apostolic church sees itself as a training and equipping center preparing people to have an impact on our society and the world. An apostolic church creates an environment where Christians can become all that they were created to be while being sent to a world that needs Jesus. Word of Life Christian Center provides training and equipping through Word of Life School of Ministry, leadership training, home groups, discipleship, as well as the in-depth teaching of God’s Word every Sunday.

Not every church is led by an apostle, but every church should be apostolic. By the grace of God Word of Life Christian Center is apostolic and led by an apostle.
