A Word From The Pastor
This year brings the twentieth anniversary of Word of Life Christian Center and I can still remember the excitement of that first service on July 12, 1987. Well, twenty years later we haven’t lost the excitement. Seeing more people then ever before receiving the life-changing presence of Jesus Christ into their lives keeps us excited and motivated. The joy of witnessing lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God encourages us to continue to perfect and increase the ministries here at Word of Life Christian Center. In these many years of ministry we have stuck to the original God-given vision to be a center where people are trained, equipped, and empowered to be all that they were created to be in Christ.
Two areas of emphasis mark this twentieth year. First we began the year with the inspiration of “A Fresh Start.” It is good to know that our Lord is always ready for us to make a fresh start in life. He readily supplies the grace necessary to replace past failures with victories, weakness with strength and hopelessness with vision that renews hope and faith. Secondly we have seen the Lord bring us an even greater emphasis on making the nuclear church (all of the ministries within the church building) the place to provide each person with all that they need to accomplish their ministry in the home and workplace. The primary ministry of the church is not in the building but in the world we enter on Monday morning. Our world can truly be changed when each Christian is made aware that they all called to transform the world around them and given all that is necessary to accomplish this ministry. This year we are increasing our efforts to equip and inspire each one to be a transformer of their world.
Share what God is doing
Do you have a “God story” or a testimony of what He has recently done
in your life (healing, promotion, blessing, etc.)? If so, we want to hear about it so that it can be shared during our Sunday services. By sharing our testimonies, others can celebrate and be encouraged by what God has done for you. Please email a short description of your testimony
to the church office ( wolcc@comcast.net) In this description, please include a brief statement as to what the situation was and how God changed it. Don’t forget to include your name and phone number! As we receive these testimonies, someone from the office will contact you to gather more information and to schedule a time to have your testimony shared. We look forward to hearing the great things that
God continues to do!
