We will be beginning a 3 week, church-wide fast starting Sunday, January 8th & ending on Sunday, January 29th. The purpose of the fast is to agree together that as Christians & as a local church we would:
1) draw closer to God through reading & meditating on (taking the time to think about) His Word & through prayer, resulting in personal transformation by the power of God's Spirit within us
2) grow in serving others in our families, local church, community, & work places, so that the love of Christ might be tangibly demonstrated
3) consistently communicate the truth of the Gospel to the world around us that people might come to know Jesus Christ
4) continue to move in the power of God to transform & equip & send individuals into all of the areas of our society that influence our culture (Family, government, the arts, media, religion, education, & business).
